CWOption Review

by Martin Kay

Capital World Option (CWOption) was launched in May 2015 according to their website info and they are owned and operated by NYT Consultants LTD. They are located in the financial service center Stoney Ground, Kingstown St. Vincent & the Grenadines or… Consultants Ltd. 64 new Cavendish St, London UK W1G 8TB depending on where on their website you get your information. What this means is an offshore broker using an virtual office address.

Is CWOption a Scam?

The CWOption website started in May 2015 and in the time of writing of this review there aren’t many complaints. Although there are no verifiable signs of scams to be found, their terms and conditions seem are not the greatest and point towards possible complaints in the near future. In addition, there is no regulation from any authority and thus, I suggest that you remain very cautious dealing with this broker until further notice.

Editor’s Note – Why Does CWOption Suck in 50 Words

Immediately I can think of at least one thing that makes them less than the best, they are just another white label broker. There is nothing to set them apart from anyone else and they are not regulated.

Why CWOption Doesn’t Suck in 50 Words

The platform is powered by SpotOption, a major and safe platform provider that includes both binary options and Forex/CFD. They also include pairs, short term, long term, touch and ladder options with short and long term expiry.

Should I Open an Account with CWOption?

The website doesn’t have the wow-factor, nothing sticks out about it, but it isn’t awful either. What I see looks like yet another white label broker with the good old SpotOption platform installed. The good part is that the platform is well known and offers many varieties of options and expiries but that isn’t unique in any way. At least they use all the available features and took the time to make some videos for their YouTube channel, explaining the SpotOption platform and how to use it. Now to the more serious stuff, looks are not the most important subjects.

The first noticeable statement in their terms and conditions is about dormant accounts. Any account with no activity within three months is considered dormant and will be charged $19.99 a month! Which I think this is a big rip off. A fee is one thing but there is no reason to charge people that much, especially after only three months. Usually, it takes a newbie 3 to 6 months to actually learn how to trade and it’s not uncommon for other traders to take a break either. Thing I’m judging too soon? Then how about this next stress causing condition that is connected to the bonuses? You have only 100 days to clear a bonus with 40 times the bonus amount! This is high, and has a tight deadline and any withdrawals of funds prior to reaching the 40x volume will cancel your rights to the bonus. Most new serious brokers have much better terms and conditions . . . plus unique platforms and functions. CWOption is indeed just another white label and I don’t like all the stress vibes I’m getting here.

CWOption Ratings

User Friendliness 10/20

The SpotOption platform is easy to use and the option types are explained in narrated short clips on the CWOption YouTube channel. The education center on the other hand, needs way more information before it can be called an education center.

No. of Assets and Expiry time 16/20
There are 12 currencies, 19 Stocks, 7 commodities and 19 Indices adding up to 57 assets which is not a competitive list of assets and pretty short for any SpotOption broker. Expiries are better, they are every 15 minute or short term as in 60 seconds up to 300 seconds. Long term as in end of week, month, year and up to 12 months.

Commissions, Support and Effective Return 12/20
There is a live chat 24/5 but requires email and a name. Returns are decent but not the highest in the industry, ranging from 67 up to 80%. There are also no commissions but there is nothing new about that either.

Deposit, Payment and Bonus 14/20
There are several deposit and withdrawal methods, C.C, Skrill, Wire, Webmoney and Neteller. Minimum deposit is only 25$ but for wire transfer it is 100$. Depending on the withdrawal method it may involve fees. Withdrawals require at least 7 business days and the account needs to be verified first. Bonuses reach up to 100% and a 40x bonus volume is required to be credited, along with a 90 day time limit.

Website Extra’s 15/20
The extra here is the option to trade Forex/CFD and get lower spreads as a VIP member but that requires a much higher deposit than the standard/micro accounts.

CWOption Overall Rating = 64/100
